Registered Psychologist, MAPS
Over the years, I’ve worked with people experiencing many different challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, personality difficulties, relationship and family issues, parenting concerns, neurodiversity, substance use, learning difficulties, and the effects of chronic illness. Whatever brings you here, I’ll meet you with empathy and understanding.
My therapeutic style is collaborative and flexible. While I often draw on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), I also integrate other evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Schema Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). This means our sessions are always tailored to you — your needs, your goals, and what feels most helpful.
I’m committed to ongoing professional development and to providing evidence-based care that genuinely supports growth and wellbeing. I’m registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and a registered provider of psychological services through Medicare.
Getting Started
If you’re thinking about beginning therapy, Medicare rebates are available with a referral from your GP. Many private health insurance funds also provide rebates for psychology.
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to do it alone — I’d be honoured to support you on your journey toward greater wellbeing and balance.
* Please note that I cannot provide services to those on WorkCover, TAC or DVA pension.

Hello, I’m Rowena — a registered Psychologist with a background in secondary teaching and over 15 years of experience working with adults and older teens. I’m deeply passionate about helping people find clarity, healing, and a stronger sense of wellbeing in their lives.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, but you don’t have to go through things alone. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, respected, and supported — a place where you can explore what’s been happening and work toward meaningful change at your own pace.
